Locally, we have delivered numerous major Defence projects, Jezzine Barracks parkland on The Strand, the world class AIMS Tropical Marine Research Facilities and a number of buildings on the JCU Douglas Campus, including The Science Place building.
We provide project management, design and construction services for both internal and external clients across a range of sectors including residential, office, retail, health, education and Defence.
As a Lendlease Undergraduate, you will gain practical experience through part time employment (approximately 20 hours per week flexibly), be supported by a manager and a ‘buddy’, and gain access to industry experts. You will gain experience in variety of disciplines on project sites including subcontractor management and supervision, planning and programming, engineering compliance, and safety, quality and environmental management.
Who we are looking for?
1st, 2nd or 3rd year Civil Engineering students (this program is aimed at those studying in 2020 so is not suitable to 4th year students).
An interest in project management in the construction industry. This is a paid position predominantly based on a construction site in Townsville.
Can commit to working approximately 20 hours a week (flexibly) during semester (and potentially more hours during uni break).
Has own transportation to get to work.
Self-motivated and diligent worker.
Good communicator (both verbally and written).
Able to legally work in Australia (as we have projects located on Defence bases).
Proficient at MS Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
