The Role
As a Test and Evaluation Manager in the Collins Submarine Program, you will perform an important role in the upgrade of Defence submarine capability. Under limited direction, as the APS6 Test & Evaluation Manager, perform novel, complex or critical work in the management of test and trial aspects of activities assigned to the Collins Program. You will require a number of key skills to undertake the following tasks:
About our Team
Submarines are a unique Defence capability and play an essential role in supporting Australia’s maritime security, and your work within the program by engaging Navy and industry partners, will ensure that Navy has an enduring and potent submarine capability for generations to come.
The Team Comprises of a Project Manager and an Engineering Manager. The APS6 Test and Trials Manager reports to Project Manager. The team works closely with the Joint Programs Office (JPO) based in Washington DC, Naval Underwater Warfare Center (NUWC), Maritime Explosive Ordnance SPO and Submarine Force. The team’s primary focus is to make sure the weapons and the deployable are seaworthy as per the NAVY & CASG requirements and policies.

As a Test and Evaluation Manager within the Collins Submarine Program you will be part of a supportive and cooperative team with other talented colleagues.

You have test and evaluation experience and look forward to applying your expertise in the submarine and weapons domains. You work well as a member of our local team, and with the wider enterprise spread across Australia and the United States. You are a good communicator who is able to liaise with range of military, civilian, technical and non-technical stakeholders. You are organised, adept at working locally and remotely, and are eager to learn on the job and through formal training.
