The role:
This role will suit a Systems Engineer with 3-5 years' experience. You will assist Transmax and our customers by providing assigned professional Systems Engineering services and contributing towards the proficient operation of the Professional Services Team. With guidance from senior systems engineers and consultants, you will assist in the provision of all services offered by the Professional Services team. You will contribute to the maintenance of standards, processes and procedures for establishing systems requirements and systems designs with minimal supervision.
This position is also likely to work with (amongst others) the Customer Engagement, Consulting, Software and Application Support services as a technical lead for small bids or projects.

Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering or Information Technology (or equivalent, proven experience)
• 2-3 years' experience an Engineering or IT field
• Organised, able to prioritise tasks effectively and bring a creative approach to problem-solving
• Possess a keen interest in current and new technology, particularly IT. Traffic and transport related fields would be a bonus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Word and Excel
• Experience with computer networking, hosting, cloud technology, data storage, data analytics solutions
• Experience with hardware and software systems integration and upgrades
• Understanding of Traffic related technologies, traffic systems or similar control systems
• Experience with developing or working with customer requirements over a project lifecycle
• Exposure or experience working with commercial and business governance across project lifecycle
• Proficient in SQL, Elasticsearch or other data storage solutions
• Proficient in PowerShell or other scripting languages
