We are currently looking for a Combat Systems Integration Specialist to join our Major Service Provider (MSP) business, based in South Melbourne.
As a Combat Systems Integration Specialist you will provide strategic integration support during project review meetings and support the qualitative review of Combat Systems integration. Furthermore will assist in the preparation and review of related technical integration of the C4I and Combat Systems capability into the wider platform system. Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to;
  • Provide engineering input to support the requirements setting of the Land Acquisition Project
  • Provide technical and engineering input into acquisition activities (e.g. requirements, solicitation material, documentation, negotiations and in Contract design reviews)
  • Coordinate and or participate in project stakeholder and working group meetings, including agenda development, minute taking and document distribution as required for engineering specific workshop meetings
  • Lead and manage verification activities
  • Provide engineering advice to project executive authorities and team members

To be successful in the role of Combat Systems Integration Specialist, you will need to bring with you:
  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering or related discipline
  • Proven Systems Integration skills (communication systems/combats systems)
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge of Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (C4I) Systems within a digital network environment on a land vehicle platform or similar systems
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the application of vehicle architecture standards
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake problem solving activities in relation to integration of complex C4I systems
  • A proven ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of stakeholders

Candidates will need to be eligible to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance

MSP Services
Our MSP (Major Service Provider) Division, is part of a consortium of independent, technical partners, which include Nova Systems and PwC; supported by a range of specialist SMEs. We share and support Defence's commitment to growing and improving Australia's military capability. We do this by delivering large, long term, integrated work packages across the Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG). In doing so we work closely with both uniformed and public service staff to help plan the acquisition and support of advanced military systems and equipment through the provision of rigorous analysis, advice and assurance; we relish solving the unique and challenging problems this work entails.
By joining us you could be working on any of the following work packages; Communication Systems Branch, Explosive Materiel Branch (EMB), Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance and Electronic Warfare Branch (ISREW), Aerospace Surveillance and Response Branch (ASR), Air Training and Aviation Common System Program Office (ATACSPO), Land Services Division (LSD).
