The Land Engineering Agency, as part of the Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group, supports various Directorates and Systems Program Offices to ensure successful requirements development, acquisition and in-service support of land materiel. The Agency provides services in engineering, testing, design and development and technical data management. Services are provided across the whole of the Defence Capability Life Cycle.
As a member of the Land Engineering Agency, the Systems Engineer will have a unique opportunity to be part of an engineering and technical team to deliver Australian Defence Force systems that are at the leading edge of Defence capability.

The Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG) is an integral part of the Department of Defence. This group purchases and maintains military equipment and supplies in the quantities and to the service levels that are required by Defence and approved by Government. Within CASG, the Land Domain acquires and supports designated land systems for the Australian Defence Force.

Our Ideal Candidate
The right person for this role will be an engineering professional who is required to provide professional engineering advice to support the achievement of Technical Integrity of land military equipment and systems. The Engineer is required to apply professional knowledge and skills through a systems engineering approach in the development, integration and evaluation of projects to meet Defence capability needs.
The Engineer will be a team member of complex and novel projects, and will be responsible for completing assigned tasks and for providing specialist technical advice. Land materiel equipment and systems may consist of but not limited to armored vehicles, weapons, soldier protection equipment, biomedical, communications, simulation and power generation.
