Providing Builders and Insurers with insurance reports and scopes of work for residential, commercial and industrial property damage.

The opportunity

A fantastic opportunity is available for an experienced Forensic/Remedial Engineer to join our team. 

You will mainly focus on existing buildings with fire damage, tree and vehicle impacts with a 50/50 split between on-site and office work.

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering or Project management
  • Familiar with Australian building codes & standards
  • Strong technical report writing skills
  • Demonstrated design experience
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience interpreting structural behaviour
  • Experience with building defects including waterproofing, building movement, flashing defects, roof defects, etc
  • Ability to perform roof and sub-floor inspections
  • Experience in maintaining stakeholder and client engagement

Responsibilities

  • Achieving client satisfaction
  • Prepare causation reports on defects and damage.
  • Prepare scope of works
  • Work effectively to keep billings up to date
  • Perform structural design of timber, steel and concrete structures
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail in all technical aspects
  • Continued professional development and involvement in appropriate industry associations.
