About the role

We are looking for a Specialist Reliability Engineer to support the site by providing strategies and tactics that will enable cost effective, timely and safe maintenance to occur, ensuring assets are consistently available to meet the operational plan requirements.

This is a great opportunity for a self-starting and motivated individual who is looking to further their career within a supportive environment while taking advantage of a variety of residential benefits. Working a Monday to Friday roster and reporting to the Superintendent Reliability & Planning, you will be required to:

  • Reliability performance evaluation, prediction and standardised reporting to facilitate the improvement of safety, reliability, maintainability and operability of productive assets.
  • Using data and reliability principles to focus improvement effort in obtaining optimal availability of the equipment.
  • Reviewing, developing and improving maintenance strategies and tactics. The role includes facilitation of multi-disciplinary processes such as RRCM and PMO.
  • This role has a major focus on developing effective and repeatable maintenance tactics both in an ad-hoc manner and as a result of formal tactics development processes.
  • Lead site Defect Elimination Process.
  • Facilitate RCA’s and drive RCA process rigour across site.
  • Lead condition monitoring team and train graduates and junior engineers.

About you

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:

  • A Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering
  • Extensive experience in a Maintenance/engineering role in mining or heavy industry
  • Proven supervisory experience
  • Demonstrable technical document writing skills
  • Data Collection and Statistical Analysis, particularly of asset management metrics.
  • Knowledge of Maintenance Tactics development processes (eg. FMEA, RRCM)

It will also be beneficial if you have:

  • Project Management experience
  • Bulk Materials Handling background
  • SAP Planner level skillset.
  • Hydro Carbon Management (HCM) knowledge
  • Ampla/Pi analytics
