We are excited to announce that KBR and Laing O’Rourke will join forces to deliver More Trains More Services Stage 2, south works package. The team will upgrade the T4 Eastern Suburbs, Illawarra Line and the South Coast Line as part of the first package of works. This is a big win for the KBR team and we look forward to delivering this project to increase services for customers in New South Wales.

We are looking for an experienced Structural Engineer with a background in bridges and civil structures to join the Sydney team and help support the MTMS and other key rail projects across NSW over the next 10+ years.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Carry out concept designs of bridges and civil structures
  • Lead technical teams as the Engineering/Project Manager
  • Prepare design calculations and specifications, research investigations and prepare reports
  • Train and supervise more junior engineers in structural design
  • Liaise with clients, statutory authorities and other consultants
  • Maintain and develop key industry relationships
  • Complete work within negotiated standards of time, cost and quality

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor degree in civil engineering
  • Experience (5+ years) working in bridges (TfNSW) and / or civil infrastructure field required
  • Solid experience in structural design
  • CPEng accreditation, or ability to apply for immediately is mandatory
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in managing projects and teams
