Candidate Specification
Role responsibilities:
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to design and document engineering solutions by undertaking structural analysis, design and related calculations
• Prepare high quality engineering reports, specifications and fee proposals
• Work within client requirements and established industry practices
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver innovative and practical design outcomes
What you'll bring to the team:
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil/Structural)
• Chartered Professional Engineer with RPEQ
• Strong technical skills designing Bridges and other Civil Structures
• Experience delivering projects to Queensland Transport and Main Roads and Queensland Rail requirements
• Understanding of ANZ standards, TMR and QR technical requirements
• Structural analysis using Autodesk Structural Bridge Design, Spacegass/Microstan and/or MIDAS Civil
• Experience working collaboratively in an engineering design team and delivering quality deliverables
• Ability to successfully communicate with project teams, clients, sub-consultants and contractors

The opportunity:
We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer with 7+ years' experience to join our Bridges and Civil Structures team in Brisbane. You must have Bridges and Civil Structures design experience, have worked collaboratively in a team environment delivering compliant engineering solutions which meet the project technical requirements, budget and timeframe.
Role Specific Duties:
• Compliance with relevant technical requirements and standards
• Undertake technical analysis and design of Bridges and Civil Structures
• Prepare high quality technical documents including engineering calculations, drawings, reports, and specifications
• Collaboration with client and project teams in multiple locations
• Working within project timeframes
• Provide innovative design solutions
• Safety in design
• Manage small to medium sized projects
• Manage project risk
• Mentoring and coaching design team members
