About the opportunity

Due to an increase in workload, opportunities exist for Rail Safety and Systems Assurance Consultants at Senior to Principal levels to join our Transport team. As a Safety and Systems Assurance Consultant, your role will play an integral part to our ongoing growth within the transport infrastructure sector.  You will be relied on to provide Safety and System Assurance support across primarily multidisciplinary rail projects/bids but providing support to the wider Jacobs business where applicable.  You will further be responsible for:

  • Ensuring that projects are delivered to the Jacobs engineering framework, fully integrated and fully assured, to meet our obligations in support of engineering project delivery. 
  • Support the continuous improvement of Safety and System Assurance processes across the business.
  • Providing support to or leading proposals as appropriate and ensuring a robust assurance methodology is applied.
  • Implementation and delivery of Safety and RAM on a wide range of projects

About you

  • Tertiary qualifications (minimum Bachelor) in a related Engineering discipline
  • Experience on major and multidisciplinary rail projects, with a preference for those with experience working in a D&C/Alliance delivery environment.
  • Broad range of experience (preferred) in safety assurance within a rail environment or other safety critical industry. Candidates with less experience will be considered on a case by case basis.
  • Excellent communications skills. 
  • A desire to achieve high quality outputs and deliver excellent service.
