ACCIONA has been awarded the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract to build the East Rockingham Resource Recovery Facility (ERRRF). Under the EPC contract, ACCIONA will deliver the project in partnership with Hitachi Zosen INOVA (HZI), the world-leading technology provider and equipment supplier, bringing the next generation of innovation to the Australian waste management and resource recovery sector. The project encompasses the design, construction, financing and operation of a greenfield Resource Recovery facility in the Rockingham Industry Zone 40km south of Perth.
ACCIONA is now looking for an Electrical Senior Project Engineer to support the East Rockingham RRF. Reporting to the Construction Manager your role is to plan the associated work packages in a manner that is efficient and effective ensuring contractual profitability and obligations are met and maintained. Furthermore, you will work with all relevant teams to manage internal and external resources and deliver the objectives of the project, on time and on budget.
During construction you will be required to provide technical, administrative and (Health &) Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) support into work pack development to the Supervisors. A key responsibility of your role is to accurately report on cost, time, scope, and quality, requiring you to know and understand your daily costs. You possess several years’ experience as a project-based engineer and have a Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering preferably with HV electrical qualifications to support your experience.
Required Skills and Competencies
To be ideally suited to this role you will be working in a similar position and have some experience in Waste to Energy or Renewable projects including boiler and turbine power generation and have built your career inside the EPCC environment.
