About The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Senior Mining Engineer to join our Narrabri Underground operation.

Reporting to  General Manager Technical Services Manager, this role is responsible for:

  • Developing and managing the medium to long term plans 
  • Monitoring the performance of ventilation and gas drainage and provide options for the improvement
  • Managing the approvals process to ensure continuity of production
  • Providing mining engineering support to new projects

About You 

The successful applicant will possess the following qualifications and qualities:

  • Extensive experience in a Mining Engineering or Operational role
  • Extensive experience in the underground coal mining industry
  • Ventilation, gas drainage and longwall mining experience
  • Operational and project management experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Superior reasoning and problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to a variety of tasks
  • Honesty and integrity
