Our esteemed Research & Development department is seeking a Senior Firmware Engineer to join our Sound Processors and Accessories team at our global headquarters located on campus at Macquarie University. Reporting to the Firmware Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in delivering and implementing firmware for Cochlear's product platforms.
As a Senior Engineer you will be expected to take a technical lead in contributing to the direction and strategy of the Firmware & DSP teams and drive innovation on firmware related projects in your team. You will also be responsible for:
Technical Responsibility: design and code firmware for Cochlear's product platforms in Assembly or C; lead and execute the verification and validation process of firmware designs against requirements; document and maintain firmware specifications and requirements.
Project Management: manage small to medium firmware technology development projects through to completion; provide technical guidance to less experienced team members
Team Role: Following relevant quality procedures in order to deliver quality products and services and identify and support the implementation of continuous improvement; audits; contribute ideas on systems and process methods to improve deliverables, work safety.
