About the Role:
This three-year Full Time position is responsible for the preparation of specialist engineering advice to inform major projects including Parramatta Light Rail and the CBD Drainage Strategy; the engagement and management of engineering consultants to support workflows; and the management of engineering strategies, investigations and projects to support the transformation of the City of Parramatta. This role will be responsible for providing engineering expertise within a multidisciplinary environment and managing collaborative processes that integrate multiple functional objectives to deliver optimum outcomes for Council. This role requires the management of partnerships and guiding projects consistent with Council’s Major Priorities and Strategic Objectives.
About the Person:
The successful candidate should have extensive operational experience across the engineering discipline including civil design, flooding/drainage, traffic, geotechnical and civil asset management (at least eight years’). They should also be able to demonstrate extensive experience in project management and have superior interpersonal skills in leadership, coordination, negotiation, teamwork and consultation.
