Naval Group Australia (NGA) is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer (Technologist) to join Australia’s Future Submarine Program. It is the largest and most exciting defence acquisition program Australia has ever undertaken.
Reporting to the Electrical Technologist Leader, the purpose of this role is to provide technical input into the selection of submarine electrical equipment items and components for the Australia Future Submarine Program.
The Senior Electrical Engineer is expected to work closely with Naval Group’s design team in France and the Procurement team in Australia to help select equipment solutions that meet a broad range of platform needs.
The Senior Electrical Engineer will mentor the Engineers within the team developing their expertise, and be a source of technical leadership on a range of common electrical technologies.
Effective communications skills will extend to suppliers and other stakeholders to convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of the business.
