We are a small dynamic company providing specialised professional services in the land development industry. Our range of services include title and feature surveys, civil engineering works, including road and services design, bridge and earthworks, and town planning services

About the opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to lead a variety of multi-disciplinary projects including residential developments, commercial developments, civil design works and project management, asset inspections and assessment services. You will oversee the development of these projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, on budget and meet industry standards. This role will require you to develop efficient and innovative designs and procedures to meet our clients’ needs whilst looking for opportunities to build our business.

What we are after
To be successful, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineer or equivalent with at least 10 years’ experience, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Victoria
  • Wide design experience - including earthworks associated with industrial/commercial projects, urban and rural road designs and car parks, and water sensitive urban design for storage basins and water treatments
  • Experience in contract administration and supervision of construction works
  • Sound knowledge of MS Windows with experience with AutoCad and civil  design packages
  • Traffic engineering experience (desirable)
  • Knowledge of Town Planning legislation and surveying processes (desirable)
  • Understanding of bridge design and inspection (desirable)
  • Sound time management skills demonstrated by the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and tasks with competing deadlines
  • Strong communication skills, in particular, the ability to clearly convey complex concepts, information and ideas
  • Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively, as part of a cohesive team
  • Confidence in leading discussions with statutory authorities and other consultants
