Our Opportunity

The Commonwealth has engaged Thales as the Project In-Service Support Contractor (ISSC) for the Armidale Class Patrol Boat (ACPB) fleet of vessels under a CASG/MSD/Contract. The Project requires an activity to remediate configuration and technical data within the Naval Logistic Information System (NLIS) including but not limited to CMT-U, AMPS, NAVALLOW, MILIS.

The position will demonstrate leadership, logistics engineering skills, knowledge and competencies, individually and as part of a multi-disciplinary team, to satisfy internal and external customer’s expectations for services, products and deliverables, and support the achievement of project and business  obligations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Active and value adding contribution to the team of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS)  Engineers and Analysts.
  • Active contribution within the Systems Engineering Integrated Product Teams (IPTs)
  • Manage Life Cycle Costing Analysis, Logistics Support Analysis (LSA), Reliability, Maintainability, Availability and Testability (RMA&T) activities.
  • Liaise with other ILS team members within the Data Improvement and In-Service Support teams to ensure a consistent ILS approach and timely delivery of ILS products to the quality as required by the contract.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor degree in Electrical/Systems/Mechanical (or similar) Engineering and/or significant relevant technical experience.
  • A high level of interpersonal, organisational and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in a commercial organisation associated with the development and delivery of Maintenance, Engineering and Logistics Support Services.
  • Understanding of the principles of Configuration Management and Systems Engineering
