Naval Ship Management (NSM) is a Joint Venture between Babcock and UGL and currently has an exciting newly created opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced Seaworthiness Officer to join the NSM based in Sydney.
The Seaworthiness Officer is responsible for ensuring the Landing Helicopter Dock (LHD) Assets are kept in a safe and reliable state of operation in accordance with the requirements of the Defence Seaworthiness Management System (DSWMS).

About You
You will have Classification society experience and demonstrated experience in maintaining technical documentation within the Defence sector. You will be degree qualified in an associated discipline and will possess excellent interpersonal and analytical skills. Additionally you will be a confident team player that has a passion for identifying and driving improvement activities and enjoys working within a team environment but can also work autonomously as required. You will have exceptional time management and organisational experience coupled with an ability to prioritise, plan and organise your work load and timeframes with a strong attention to detail. The successful candidate will have high level computer skills and a proven ability to adapt and learn new systems and processes quickly. Familiarity or previous experience with the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) and/ or the Capability, Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG) would be advantageous.
