Reporting to the General Manager Gas Energy & Infrastructure, you will be required to manage the surface gas drainage activities across our Grosvenor Mine. As part of your portfolio, you will provide leadership and support to Grosvenor in relation to the operation and maintenance of surface gas drainage holes, gas drainage pipelines and gas drainage vacuum and compression plants.
This opportunity will see you as part of the Senior Leadership Team where you will be responsible for the gas drainage activities and commercialisation of the produced gas and minimisation of Greenhouse Gas emissions. There is the parallel requirement to be an effective Manager to ensure collaboration with the mine management on achieving the safe production of coal and act as the appointed Site Safety Manager under the Queensland Petroleum and Gas Act.
As the successful candidate, you will ideally hold tertiary qualifications in Process, Chemical Mining or Mechanical Engineering. You will also possess relevant experience to support your appointment as Site Safety Manager (SSM). Supporting your application, you will hold significant experience in managing gas processing facilities and have had extensive exposure to underground coal degasification.
