Do you have qualifications in engineering with extensive experiences in plant performance, reliability and condition monitoring? Do you have LCAT and VCAT certification?

The Reliability Engineer role provides detailed analysis of power station system to develop strategies and recommendations that will improve the reliability and performance of generation plant, systems and maintenance effectiveness. This role also manages a small team providing condition monitoring support to all power stations of TGen including regular vibration analysis, oil analysis, thermography and plant failure investigations.

The role is currently based at Channel Island Power Station, but provides support to all TGen power stations.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Carry out duties in accordance with Territory Generation’s safety, environmental and quality policies, corporate values and strategies.
  • Creating regular Reliability and Availability reports by collating and analysing data from the SCADA and Enterprise management systems.
  • Asses the condition of critical assets to aid development of preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance plans.
  • Interpret the historic reliability and performance data and prepare business cases to be included in budget reviews.
  • Conduct regular Root Cause Analysis of components and system failures
  • Continuous review of historical downtime and maintenance records
  • Develop and maintain equipment-specific condition monitoring strategies utilising techniques such as Vibration Analysis, Oil Analysis, Thermography, Ultrasonic Acoustics, Laser Alignment
  • Developing preventive maintenance tasks and establishing performance monitoring programs

This is an ongoing role and requires Australian Citizenship/Permanent Residency or other eligible visa type to be able to work in Australia full time in a permanent ongoing role.

This position is a residential role based at Channel Island Power Station.  Relocation assistance is available.
