An opportunity exisits for a Reliability Engineer to join the Assets and Engineering team at Zinc Processing. Reporting directly to the Senior Reliability Engineer, you will be working within our "lifestyle roster", with a 9 day fortnight (5/2/4/3), residentially based in Mount Isa.

Mount Isa Mines boasts the largest zinc resource base in the world. This provides a long and stable future, with our contribution representing almost a third of Glencore’s annual zinc metal production.
To be successful in this role you will have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and have 2-5 years’ experience, with Reliability Engineering background being advantageous. To succeed in this role you will be a mechanical minded, proactive, self-motivated, result driven individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure in a multi-disciplinary team. You will have the ability to think logically and be determined to work towards finding favourable solutions and outcomes, valuing continuous improvement, striving to be part of a high performing team.
You will have previous exposure working in a heavy industry as a reliability engineer, on mechanical engineering assignments of complexity and scope facilitating/developing RCA & FMEA. Experience in skills such as oil analysis, condition monitoring, VA, grinding mills, conveyors, pump agitators, and vibrating screens will be an advantage. Computer management maintenance systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Office suite knowledge is essential.
