We’re looking to do things a little bit differently here at Aurizon, and as such, this newly created role will see you leading the reliability function for the largest heavy-haul rail operator in Australia.
As the Reliability and Engineering Manager, you will manage the reliability and condition monitoring functions for the entire Aurizon Rollingstock Fleet. This fleet runs Australia-wide and consists of an impressive 500+ locomotives and 14,000 wagons.
We’re looking to blend the old with the new. We know that technology plays a key role in our future and we’re continuing to look at how we better leverage opportunities as we continue to lead the industry with our approach and application of technology – we know that status quo is not an option and continually challenging ourselves to be better in every aspect is paramount.
This position reports into the Head of Rollingstock Fleet Services and is a key member of a highly engaged and proactive leadership team. Not only does this role primarily own and evolve the Asset Management Strategy but will look to deliberately shift the Aurizon fleet to a condition-based domain, and beyond.
You’re a natural collaborator with a passion for leading a diverse and highly technical team. When it comes to leadership, you lead by example, are intuitive and have a vested interest in development to ensure you’re getting the best out of your team.
You thrive on working in a dynamic and agile environment and value stakeholder engagement as this will be key to your success whilst working on cross-functional projects. Curiosity is second nature and your high level of business and commercial acumen is what allows you to connect to the bigger picture to drive high performance outcomes.
We want you to not only love what you do, but to come in, work with your team to solve complex problems, generate new ideas and thinking, challenge the status quo and be challenged. We get that work can sometimes be a little on the serious side, so we also want you to embrace the humour and have some fun in amongst it all.
