We currently have an opportunity for a Project Manager to join our QLD Pavement Rehabilitation team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operational management of civil construction projects, ensuring tasks are completed on time, withing budget and as required under the relevant contracts. Prior experience within the Roads industry will be highly regarded. The role will be roster based, with 11 days on, 3 days off and will be based around central/north Queensland.

  • Degree qualification in Engineering/Project Management or related discipline.
  • Prior experience working on Roads infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrated capability gained in a business / project management role at similar level.
  • Experience with preparation and management of operational budgets.
  • A successful track record of proactively building relationships with key clients, stakeholders and developing new business opportunities.
  • A well-developed understanding of planning, execution and financial reporting of projects.
  • Able to express, engage and influence outcomes through high levels of communication and teamwork.
  • Able to interpret policy and procedures and ensure the implementation of all relevant health and safety legislation.
  • Commitment to quality outcomes with a focus on delivering in full and on time.
  • Strong safety focus - actively participate in and support Downer Zero Harm initiatives and strategies.
