UGL Regional Linx has been awarded the contract to Operate and Maintain the NSW Country Regional Network (CRN), commencing in January 2022.
The CRN links broad areas of regional NSW to interstate and metropolitan rail systems and in addition supports, customers transporting coal, grain, cotton, minerals and containerised freight to domestic and export markets.
Reporting to the Works Planning Manager, the full-time position of Project Engineer Track & Civil based in either Dubbo or Orange NSW is to coordinate on-site construction engineering activities to achieve project schedule and budget objectives. As the subject matter expert regarding track infrastructure for the CRN projects team, the role will play a key role in engineering the delivery of a portfolio of projects ranging from rerailing, rail grinding, resleepering, resurfacing, level crossing upgrades, turnout works, corridor fencing, ballasting, and turnout retimbering.
You will successfully participate in the project delivery process by assisting the project team in the completion of work in accordance with the project operating manual and client's expectations of time, cost, safety and environmental objectives, maintaining and updating the team's AWP construction schedule and managing site subcontractors and suppliers to complete projects.

About you
  • Tertiary education in engineering, Science, Building Construction or equivalent project management experience
  • Minimum 5 years' engineering and/or rail infrastructure project delivery experience
  • Experience in managing a vast portfolio and large quantity of project types
  • Ability to interpret designs/plans and formulate project delivery plans
  • Understanding of the Project Design Management Plan, Quality Management Plan, Safety
  • Management Plan and Environmental Management Plan
  • Pre-contracts knowledge in relation to design, planning and legislative requirements
  • Advanced skills in relevant computer software packages;
