Project: The Pitt Street North OSD Commercial Tower:
CPB Contractors has been awarded the Design & Construction of the $370M Pitt Street Over Station Development North, a Premium Grade Commercial Building within the Sydney CBD that forms part of the Pitt Street Integrated Station Development.
The Premium Grade Commercial Building will comprise of over 49,000m2 NLA, a Sky Lobby, retail spaces, 40 Car Stacker Parking Spaces and Premium Grade End-of-Trip Facilities, Amenities, Storage & Bicycle Parking.
The building will include leading smart design and building features and sustainability ratings including:
  • 6 Star Green Star Design and As-Built.
  • Platinum WELL Rating.
  • Digital twin building model for real-time operations insight and management.
  • 5.5 Star NABERS Energy3.5 Star NABERS Energy

Your opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer- Sustainability to join the project team. Reporting to the Project Director, responsibilities include:
  • Managing and delivering the Project's targeted sustainability ratings including: Greenstar Design and As Built (D&AB) rating, NABERS Energy and Water, and WELL
  • Collecting evidence and drafting submission forms for Greenstar D&AB v1.3 As Built submission
  • Coordinating with other multi disciplines to ensure the targeted NABERS rating and credits under the Greenstar and WELL pathway are maintained throughout construction
  • Being proactively involved in procurement of materials to ensure (1) the embodied carbon of the building is minimised wherever possible, (2) the targeted points under the Materials category within the Greenstar pathway is achieved or improved
  • Actively participating in Project construction meetings, inspections, senior leadership meetings, and any other forums to communicate the necessary message to relevant individuals/teams, ensuring the targeted sustainability objectives (including innovation credits) are managed
  • Assess options for consideration within the CPB team to achieve Sustainability Requirements
  • Maintain the ESD management plan to ensure compliance throughout the project
  • Maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders across the project team including the client
  • Assist in regular reporting requirements for the project as related to sustainability
  • Interact with key project personnel, including project management, design managers, services managers and the like to educate and assist in the preparation of the targeted ratings

Key requirements:
  • Greenstar Accredited Professional (GSAP) required, including experience in delivering projects targeting Design & As Built rating tool
  • WELL Accredited Professional (WELL AP) required
  • At least 5 years of sustainability management experience, with previous experience in delivering commercial office tower projects targeting Greenstar, NABERS and WELL
  • Technical understanding of building services, to the extent that the candidate can communicate and coordinate with services engineers to ensure the targeted credits are appropriately managed
  • Experience in working collaboratively as part of multi discipline teams to deliver targeted sustainability ratings major built environment design and construction projects
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in engineering, environmental science or other relevant discipline
