About the Project
Larrakeyah Barracks is a strategically important Defence base servicing the Royal Australian Navy, Army and Joint Task Force units in the Darwin Area. Laing O'Rourke is delivering both the Larrakeyah Barracks Redevelopment and Facilities Support to Naval Operations in the North projects as the managing contractor.
About the role
We are currently seeking a Project Engineer with an Electrical background to join us on this exciting infrastructure project in Darwin, NT. This is a rare opportunity to join Laing O'Rourke - a privately owned, people-centric, international engineering enterprise with a culture of innovation.
As Project Engineer (Services), you will coordinate the installation, testing, commissioning and handover of new services. You will plan and sequence construction activities, track costs, manage services subcontractors interface with our design management and construction delivery team, whilst always adhering to Laing O'Rourke's safety policies and procedures
You will have a relevant degree in Engineering (ideally Electrical), strong delivery focus and experience with services on complex infrastructure or building projects with top-tier contractors. You will ideally bring 8+ years' experience in project delivery and leadership skills. Experience with managing contractor models and/or delivering defence projects would be beneficial. Australian Citizenship required.
