Due to our ever-growing portfolio of national projects, we have an immediate opportunity for an Electrical Project Engineer to join our dynamic Perth based Rail Systems team.

UGL'S National Rail Systems team covers OHW, power, substations and track work, along with signalling design, construction and commissioning to provide full rail systems turnkey solutions.
We have offices in NSW (North Sydney, Milperra, Pymble) as well as Melbourne, VIC & Perth, WA and our client base includes Sydney Trains, TfNSW, Melbourne trains and PTA among others - Tier one contractors.

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be involved in a variety of projects including Substation Construction, Overhead Wiring and HV Feeder Projects. Other responsibilities will include:
  • Ensuring projects meet all requirements in tim e ly an d c o s t -effective ma n n e r to m ee t co n tr a ct u al arra n g e m e n ts ma d e with th e cl i e n t
  • Procurement of materials and subcontractors
  • Managing quality for the projects
  • Preparation of Assurance requirements
  • Tendering for new projects
  • Site Supervision and managing subcontractors
  • Monitoring the projects productivity and assisting in preparing the project's forecast budgets

About You
You are an experienced Project Engineer with the ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholders and a desire to ensure projects are delivered safely. You will have:
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience delivering construction projects, that include HV and Traction Substation, or OHW and HV Feeder projects
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to build relationships and influence a diverse group of stakeholders
  • The ability to work autonomously, to organise and prioritise demands and handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously
  • An appetite to learn, grow and develop your career with an innovative organisation
