Job Description Summary
Exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer to join our NSW Wireless team.

About the Role
Service Stream's Telecommunications division are currently seeking a Project Engineer to join our NSW SMR Deployment team. Reporting directly to the Construction Manager, you will be responsible for working as part of the Wireless Project Delivery Team that is responsible for the Construction, Technical Installation, and Integration. The role requires to you to work as part of the construction team across our NSW Telco project. Based in our North Sydney office and offered on a Permanent, Full Time basis, this position is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate. The expected start date is around Mid-January.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure that you fully understand the scope of work of any project or program that you are working on
  • Ensure that you are able to articulate the Critical Path Items towards the delivery end milestone.
  • Ensure that you are able to communicate the project goals and current status of the work
  • Understand all client imperatives (time, quality, price, KPI and processes management) and ensure all site activities progress in accordance with it.
  • Proactively manage cost with our subcontractors through negotiation and independent valuation of the work effort involved in the cost provided
  • Ensure that jobs are priced correctly prior to the start of the job with no margin attrition through the lifecycle of a job
  • Ensure that any issues impeding submission of claims to client or payment of claims are dealt with in a timely manner
  • Manage our client's expectations on a day to day, month to month and project level basis at a regional level
  • Undertake Site Visits that may include; Inspections, Scoping Visits, Design Visits, Pricing Visits, Pre-start Visits, Site Inductions, Site Supervision, HSE and Quality Audits
  • Ensure that all site works under your control have a Quality Control Audit completed prior to Handover to the Client

Skills and Experience
  • Qualifications in Engineering, Building or equivalent advantageous
  • Experience in a Design and Construction environment
  • Previous experience in the Australian Wireless Telecommunications industry preferably two way radio communication
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience inMotorola solutions P25 Radio communications technologies, LTE routers and DC power systems - Highly Desired
  • Advanced knowledge of general Microsoft Applications
  • High level numerical analysis skills and the ability to provide clear conclusions and recommendations on complex issues
  • Knowledge of property and leasing matters within a telecommunications environment
