The opportunity

Our Infrastructure Services Group is looking for a motivated Process Engineer to join their team. You will be responsible for providing advice and engineering support on the operations performance of Icon Water Treatment Process systems.  You will have excellent communication skills with a strong ability to tackle problems and think analytically.

About the role

You will:

  • Collect, review and report on operational data and statistics. Prepare internal and external reports and briefs (including those relating to compliance requirements).
  • Provide continuous review and improvements of process and process compliance operating procedures, work instructions and check sheets.
  • Undertake specific trials and investigations into treatment processes, with respect to process optimisation and performance improvements within treatment plants
  • Provide high level technical support to key stakeholders regarding operations and impacts,
  • Communicate operational performance and opportunities to the broader organisation
  • Have oversight and management of the routine and specialty laboratory sampling programmes. Review budget and expenditure of laboratory contract for Treatment Plant analysis
  • Manage the development, implementation and review of a HACCP model in a sewerage treatment process

 

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Degree or diploma from an Australian university or technical college; alternatively, a degree or diploma from an overseas institution recognised by Engineers Australia. 
  • Demonstrated experience of process and infrastructure used within the water and wastewater industry.
  • Ability to influence and negotiate outcomes through professional and productive engagement with work colleagues at all levels.
  • An understanding of HACCP, or the drinking water quality risk management principles, or the Australian Sewage Management Guidelines.
  • Experience managing small-scale projects such as basic design, investigative or condition assessment projects.
  • High developed communication skills, both oral and written, in communicating technical information to varied audiences
