About the role

We are looking for a Plant Integrity Engineer to provide technical expertise and support of the static assets within site to ensure safety and integrity of the equipment. This includes all pressure vessels, tanks, piping, pressure relief valves, cranes and structural integrity throughout the site.

This role is a great opportunity to be part of a collaborative team environment and develop your career further. Working a 5 days on, 2 off, 4 days on, 3 off roster and reporting to the Senior Integrity Engineer, you will be:

  • Assisting with ensuring statutory and critical plant inspections for tanks, pressure vessels, piping, pressure relief valves, cranes and structures are completed to schedule
  • Assisting with maintaining the critical plant register and all associated documentation, creating useful data to understand compliance, condition and risk
  • Working collaboratively with a range of site teams to minimise disruption to production or other planned maintenance activities
  • Reviewing and approve repair plans for defective equipment following appropriate standards
  • Supervising NDT technicians and working with AICIP/API inspectors and external contractors to complete inspections
  • Analysing results, determining failure mode, performing failure investigations and root cause analysis (RCA), identifying improvement areas
  • Preparing QA/QC documentation for repairs and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)
  • Engaging with various stakeholders across site to ensure work is effectively executed while reducing production impacts and minimising risk

About you

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (e.g. Mechanical, Chemical, Materials, Corrosion)
  • Experience managing critical assets in a mining, oils & gas or heavy industry environment
  • Detailed understanding and application of relevant standards (Australian and International)
  • NDT process expertise and previous supervisory experience of NDT Technicians
  • Proficiency in interpreting and analysing NDT scanning results
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role in Oil and Gas/refining/processing/heavy industry
  • Ability to engage and work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders, to work under pressure, without supervision and conduct inspection of high risk assets
  • Have attention to detail regarding inspection results, reporting and analysing
  • Familiarity with SAP and have experience manipulating data using SAP 

It will also be beneficial if you have:

  • Experience with RBI, API certifications
  • Experience in HAZID, HAZOP and other process safety/risk management processes
  • Materials and corrosion engineering experience, welding and NACE certifications
  • Corrosion and Welding engineer qualifications and experience will be highly regarded
