We have a permanent vacancy in the Delivery team within South Coast Region of the Department of Transport and Main Roads. In the role of Principal Engineer (Civil) you will manage the delivery of key components of the road infrastructure program and provide specialist technical expertise and advice to infrastructure projects and to other professional and technical staff to ensure successful delivery of the program within time, quality, cost and stakeholder expectations.

To be considered for the role of Principal Engineer (Civil), you will possess:

  • Experience in providing reports on the progress of works including actual and forecast of expenditure.
  • Extensive experience in applying program/project management principals to lead the delivery of high value infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in complex contract administration.
  • Ability to successfully manage networks and alliances of stakeholders and manage the expectations and issues of all parties.
  • Degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent Civil Engineering qualification which is accepted by Engineers Australia.
  • Registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ).
