In the role of Principal Engineer (Civil) you will manage complex issues associated with the use and occupation of road corridors by third parties and ensure that all issues associated with tenure requirements and other legislative requirements are addressed.  You will provide leadership and technical expertise to ensure the delivery of policy advice and services in corridor management, and the effective management of public utility and plant within South Coast Region.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities required:

  • Demonstrated ability to provide effective leadership for the delivery of engineering and technical advice and services.
  • Ability to provide professional engineering advice on technical issues related to development applications and management of public utilities and plant.
  • Undertake technical assessment and design review of third-party activities, including engineering reports in the field of traffic, hydraulics, noise and pavement, within legislative time-frames.  
  • Ability to successfully manage networks and alliances of stakeholders and manage the expectations and issues of all parties.
  • Degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent Civil Engineering qualification which is accepted by Engineers Australia.
  • Registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ).
