POSITION SUMMARY

Transport Projects, a division of Downer’s Australian Operations Business continues to secure further opportunities Nationally as we continue to build on our reputation of meeting and delivering on Australia’s major Transportation needs.

We have an opportunity for an experienced Planning & Projects Control Engineer to join our Metronet project.  We are part of a plan, design and construct rail team and you will have the opportunity to be part this exciting major project.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will ensure the effective and timely coordination / implementation of the planning and project controls functions required for the project and help achieve the project objectives.  You will also be responsible for:

  • Review and assessment of preferred subcontractors and suppliers
  • Maintain and review program, progress and other scheduling data
  • Maintain project dashboards for progress, productivity forecasting and milestone status
  • Updated resource availability and allocations
  • Communicate project status and advise corrective actions
  • Ensure compliance relevant legal and regulatory requirements

ABOUT YOU

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering
  • Demonstrated project delivery experience in infrastructure / rail / construction
  • Demonstrated exposure within large projects
  • High level organisation skills with significant logistical experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to maintain a professional demeanour under pressure
  • Must be able to plan and prioritise workloads in an ever-changing environment
  • Intermediate level computer skills with significant exposure to the MS Office suite of applications.
