We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Mining Engineer to join our Mine Engineering team within Technical Services. Working within a highly experienced team, with the support of industry leading systems and processes, you will be responsible for supporting mid to long term mine planning for our Pilbara operations. While the core focus of the role is providing mine design for existing and future operations you will be given opportunities to learn and grow as a technical professional by gaining exposure to production schedule optimisation, approvals and resource development coordination, financial modelling and ore reserve reporting.

With tertiary qualification in Engineering or equivalent, you will have demonstrated experience within an open pit mining environment, including mine design, short team scheduling blend management and ground disturbance coordination. You will need to have good understanding of the fundamental concepts that underpin value in the mining industry and a working knowledge of business and mine planning software (Vulcan, Surpac, Minesight, ATS, XPAC).
A current C Class driver’s licence is required and you will have the ability to engage and collaborate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on a challenge and is looking to expand their technical skill set through hands on experiences.
This position is based in the Perth CBD, Central Park with some travel to the Pilbara.
