We are looking for a Mine Scheduling Engineer to join our dynamic mine technical services team at Marandoo. Reporting to the Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the daily and weekly mine scheduling activities and providing technical support to the mine operations team in order to ensure the safe and efficient execution of the mine plan.
In this dynamic role, you will be involved in a variety of tasks including daily mine scheduling and machine allocations, daily and weekly grade control and production forecasting, generation of the weekly stockpile schedule and compliance reporting. You will also play an active role in identifying and implementing mine planning improvements, cost reduction and efficiency initiatives.
This opportunity will suit a dynamic Engineer looking for a technical challenge and the next step of their career and a unique opportunity to support the transition of the operation from a manual to fully autonomous fleet.
About you
With tertiary qualifications in Engineering or equivalent, you will have demonstrated experience within an open cut mining environment (preferably iron ore), coupled with practical experience within a scheduling or production engineering role. You will have a working knowledge of mining and business software such as MS Office and Vulcan and have the ability to engage and collaborate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders. A current C Class driver’s licence is also required.
