About the Role - Mechatronics Engineer – Marine Division

To provide engineering support to Babcock Marine through life support programmes and engineering projects as directed by nominated Engineering Team Leader.


Some of the deliverable you will contribute to:

Provide Engineering and Technical support to workshop activities as required.

Conduct Investigations as needed to raise reports and detail findings

On site problem solving and troubleshooting to ensure efficient and cost effective solutions. 

Degree in Mechatronics or related discipline

Previous experience in software development utilising programming languages such as Ladder Logics(PLC), C++,Ada or others

Experience with Complex Control Systems within Marine/Defence/Defence Industry

Effectively communicate with other internal and external groups to ensure system requirements and functions are delivered.


About You 

This role will align with Degree qualified Mechatronics Engineer with 5 plus years’ experience in an engineering role, ideally suit candidates with experience from within the Maritime or Defence industries. You will also possess very strong IT, analytical skills and technical applications. We are seeking highly motivated candidates with excellent communication skills and ability to identify and drive improvement activities.

You will need to have or be eligible for a Defence Security Clearance.
