About the role

We are now seeking a Mechanical Engineer who has a Manufacturing background to join our growing Fluid Engineering team. You will assist with the identification and qualification of Australian suppliers for Mechanical Machinery equipment that has specific specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist to deliver specifications and qualification criteria for mechanical equipment for fluid systems
  • Go to market with specifications and find suitable manufacturers who can make required items
  • Work with the procurement team to identify quality suppliers and establish relationships
  • Contribute in the update qualified equipment
  • Management of the qualification of the equipment for the Future Submarines Program
  • Support to the design team for all questions related to its technical field

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 2-5 years experience in manufacturing of equipment (ie. valves, shafts etc.)
  • Precision Machining experience
  • Knowledge of Australian standards & suppliers (a must)
  • Oil & Gas experience (desirable)

Eligibility

The successful applicant must be an Australian Citizen
