Manufacturing Engineer - Test Process Sustaining (12-month Contract)

The Operations team partners closely with ResMed's five business leaders to understand their needs then providing a variety of products and services to help them meet those needs including Customer and Technical Services, Global Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, manufacturing, logistics and distribution. Focused on enabling new product introduction and operating excellence, our team strives to improve time to market for new products and services, improve efficiencies in our cross-functional processes, and improve our supply chain through digitization and automation to increase value add to our customers.

Let's talk about Responsibilities
  • Sustain and improve manufacturing test solutions to facilitate the new and existing manufacturing lines/equipment.
  • Introduce, draft & maintain production test procedures, provides training on new equipment, processes & procedures.
  • Resolve downtime issues on test solutions and focusing on following OH&S guidelines.
  • Ensure the availability and performance of manufacturing test solutions, to meet production volumes.
  • Work closely with Product Development and Manufacturing Engineering teams to sustain robust high quality test solutions which deliver effective quality gates to production.
  • Assist in the verification, deployment, and sustaining of production test solutions updates.
  • Complete test validation activities & documentation.
  • Identify & implement quality and efficiency measures including GMP, Six-Sigma LEAN improvement actions.
  • Perform work in a specialized area of expertise that requires knowledge of fundamental themes, principles and concepts. Typically requires a university degree or equivalent work experience.

Let's talk about Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics or Engineering related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience from medical, manufacturing and/or pharmaceutical environment.
  • Good to have knowledge in Mechatronics, Automation, PLC programming and/or test engineering.
  • Effective communicator and collaborator.
  • Experience in working with complicated machinery in a manufacturing context
  • Experience in verification and validation.
  • Experience in developing or maintaining test solutions in a production environment.
  • Applicant must be willing to commit the contract duration and flexible working on shift work pattern:
  • Day Shift: 6AM to 2PM and Afternoon Shift: 2PM to 10PM (Shift may be subjected to change to suit the COVID-19 precautionary measures)
