Warrumbungle Shire Council is seeking an experienced Manager - Projects to join their friendly team in Coonabarabran, NSW.This is a full-time, ongoing position based in Coonabarabran, NSW.
Reporting to the Director Technical Services, you will be responsible for delivering pre-construction activities associated with civil infrastructure and building projects across the Shire along with managing projects.
This role involves the development of Council’s Asset Management Plans and the identification of infrastructure and building renewal projects from those plans.
To be considered, you'll need a tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline. Candidates with Chartered Status membership of the Institution of Engineers will be highly regarded. Australia Extensive knowledge and understanding of the requirements of engineering and management concepts associated with planning for civil infrastructure and building projects are a must.
You will have demonstrated program and project management skills with strong knowledge and a demonstrated understanding of design specifications for road, stormwater drainage, water & sewerage and building infrastructure.
Council is seeking an applicant with exceptional written communication skills to prepare complex management and Council reports, along with a demonstrated knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Local Government Act, Environmental Planning and Assessment Act, Anti-Discrimination Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act and Roads Act. A current Class C driver's licence is also essential.
Although not required, it would be ideal if you had a technical knowledge of traffic and transport engineering and legislation relevant to the traffic functions of local government, as well as, eligibility for corporate membership of the Institution of Engineers Australia.
In return for your hard work and dedication, you will be rewarded with an attractive remuneration $92,000 - $112,000 per annum, plus 9% super per annum, negotiable for an outstanding candidate.
Warrumbungle Shire Council will also provide a vehicle for business and private use on a leaseback arrangement.
