Site based at Carrapateena

Roster: 8 days on 6 days off; travel 100% on company time from Adelaide or Port Augusta

Reporting to: Superintendent – Asset Management

Key Responsibilities

The Maintenance Systems Engineer is responsible for ensuring that the following main functions within the asset management team are delivered to achieve the future business goals in alignment with the OZ Minerals Carrapateena ‘Asset Management System Framework;

  • Asset Management Systems Stabilisation
  • Transition to new technologies and solutions
  • Master Data Excellence (Data Gathering, Auditing and Analysis)
  • Continuous Improvement Processes and Team Development
  • Management of the asset management system for the Carrapateena assets including surface processing and underground fixed plant infrastructure to ensure reliable completion of all maintenance activity
  • Maintain end to end master data processes via the ERP inclusive of asset specifications, task lists, resource requirements, materials and spares lists, BOM’s, documentation requirements and strategy alignment
  • Maintain, audit and support SAP (PM) and any associated solutions including the control of system process reviews, troubleshooting whilst providing subject matter expertise to the engineering and maintenance teams
  • Assist in asset analysis and produce reporting outputs for the reliability team which is needed to reduce maintenance costs via standardised OZ Minerals reporting and analytics tools
  • Introduce and implement new technologies and solutions in conjunction with the asset management superintendent and the Carrapateena ‘AMSF’ roadmap. 

Applicant Requirements

This role requires a values based individual with a desire to deliver best practice outcomes with skills and personal attributes including:

  • Asset Management / ICT Studies
  • Experience working in the mining and resource industry
  • Maintenance and Works Management Experience
  • High level SAP technical knowledge (PM, MM, FICO)

Exposure to a variety of systems and solutions including:

  • CMMS, eAM, ERP, BI and Data Analytics
  • Contractor management and time sheeting
  • Scheduling and forecasting
  • Budgeting and finance

Compliance and Auditing Processes

  • Data and Business Analytics and Reporting
  • Third party system solutions
  • Master Data Management
  • Process and document writing
  • Project Management
  • System Integrations and Mobility Platforms
  • High level computer skills in Microsoft suite.
