Are you an Engineer seeking a career in Mining?
Macmahon are offering opportunities for:
  • Applications for our 2022 graduate engineering intake
  • 2021/22 vocation and cadetships for mining engineers in their 2nd and 3rd year of study

By joining Macmahon you will enter into a three year structured graduate development program that will build your leadership, influencing, project management and technical engineering capabilities. You will gain experience in various commodities while working between our corporate head office and across our many mine sites. Our program will support attainment of a Quarry and/or First Class Mine Managers Ticket.
During your rotations, you will spend time in mining engineering, drill & blast, technical services, operational excellence, tendering and estimating departments at different sites dealing with different commodities. Our program is specifically designed for candidates seeking to be challenged, to learn, grow and develop a career in mining.

What Macmahon are looking for:
  • Studying or completion of a degree in mining, mechanical or civil engineering (Macmahon also welcome other engineering disciplines to apply)
  • A valid 'C' Class Drivers Licence, desirable
  • Previous mining exposure advantageous
  • Willing and able to travel to various mine sites in Australia and Internationally
  • Excellent work ethic, focus towards safety, flexible and desire to learn and develop

Vocation and Cadetships
We offer opportunities for a minimum of 10 - 12 weeks of paid mining experience, including onsite Fly-In-Fly-Out (FIFO). Our most talented vocational students will then be offered a cadetship and pathway into our structured graduate development program.
Shortlisted candidates will spend one day in an assessment centre, providing a great opportunity for Macmahon to get to know you a little better and for you to get to know us.
