We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Lead/Senior Structural Engineer to join our operations in Queensland.  This role is leading a civil/structural team delivering engineering services across a portfolio of Gladstone Terminal projects for a significant Gas company operating in Queensland’s Coal Seam Gas industry.  This is a fantastic opportunity to further your knowledge of the hydrocarbons industry.  

Responsibilities will include: 

  • Supporting Brownfield projects from conception to commissioning
  • Supporting a team to deliver engineering services that exceed client expectations
  • Detail design including developing drawings, calculations, datasheets and scopes of work 
  • Provide lead management and technical direction within the Local and Global Integrated Design civil/structural discipline teams, liaise with the project team and consult with relevant resources as required
  • Client relationship development and growing the civil and structural teams 
  • Undertaking site inspections
  • Liaison with customers to Identify issues and problems and develop appropriate solutions 
  • Providing input into proposals and engineering estimates
  • Undertaking lead management tasks including support to cost control, progress and schedule reporting and quality audits.  

To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:

  • Bachelor of Civil/Structural Engineering (recognised by IEAust)
  • RPEQ qualified 
  • Sound ability using SpaceGass modelling software 
  • Able to work effectively in teams and take ownership of your own work
  • Prior design experience in hydrocarbons industry
  • Prior experience in both steelwork and concrete design.
  • Ideally experience using Strand7
