About the role
Reporting to the Superintendent Projects, this role will see you lead a team and provide functional expertise to drive world class delivery of the Earth Moving Equipment (EME) portfolio across all the BMA Operations (including all mining equipment, from shovels, trucks, diggers and all ancillary equipment). This role coordinates the EME portfolio and plans the replacement or new purchases of all EME capital purchases, including reviewing business cases and ensuring they are matched with the market conditions and business requirements.
You will be responsible for scheduling and prioritizing EME replacements in the 5 year plan and 2 year budget and initiating project contracts and sourcing strategic solutions for Engineering Projects. You will lead the strategic sourcing and scheduling for the BMA portfolio of EME and also lead initiatives improving project management and cross functional engagements and alignment.

About You
To be successful in this role you will be an effective leader and a collaborative communicator with the ability to manage multiple business priorities simultaneously. Strong interpersonal skills are essential, allowing you to influence while also enabling you to build relationships across departments and to communicate with disciplines at all levels. You will have the ability to manage stakeholders across multiple geographical regions and thrive in ambiguous environments. You will be action oriented and strategically focused with superior problem solving, decision making and influencing skills.
You will have a detailed understanding of project management, engineering principles, standards and processes. You will need to be tertiary qualified in Engineering or have equivalent trade and industry experience to support the technical support requirements of the role as well as strong mentoring skills. Mining industry and SAP experience will be an advantage.
