We are currently seeking Lead Electrical, Instrument and Controls Engineer to lead our team of high achievers.  This role will lead and manage the discipline team and the discipline scope for the assigned project and achieve project outcomes. The role will work with the project team to ensure delivery of project requirements on time and within budget.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: 

  • Leading a team to deliver quality engineering services that exceed client expectations
  • Allocate resources and tasks across the team
  • Control the budget and schedule as appropriate to the Electrical, I & C team
  • Provide technical support within the discipline team and coordinate with the project team 
  • Lead the interdisciplinary and stakeholder co-ordination 
  • Liaison with stakeholders to Identify issues and problems and develop appropriate solutions 

To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:

  • Highly effective verbal and written communication skills including the ability to convey information and ideas to individuals and groups.
  • Bachelor of Electrical Engineering (recognised by IEAust)
  • RPEQ qualified 
  • Working knowledge and ability to interpret and apply relevant International and local Codes / Standards and Legislation, client standards and specifications
  • Experience with equipment design, selection, specification and procurement activities in collaboration with designers
  • Understand design deliverables required for Conceptual, FEED and detailed design, establishing appropriate level of detail and checking required for each phase
  • Experience with Power distribution systems
  • HV/LV Switchgear and MCCs 
  • Hazardous area equipment specification and selection, design and classification
  • Instrumentation & Control systems experience (DCS, SCADA, ESD and F&G systems)
  • Instrumented Protective Functions (IPF) Experience

Experience with Instrumentation equipment design, specifications and procurement activities

  • TUV Certified (preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams by example
  • Brownfields Experience
  • Industrial and site experience
