An opportunity exists for a Lead Electrical Engineer to join the Assets and Engineering team at Zinc Processing. Reporting directly to the Superintendent - Projects, you will be working within our "lifestyle roster", with a 9 day fortnight (5/2/4/3) residentially based in Mount Isa.

To be successful in this role you will have previous exposure working in the mining industry as an Electrical Engineer on assignments with complexity and scope. Additionally, a solid understanding of HV and LV protection systems and the Electrical and Industrial Statutory Requirements are required. Experience in contract management, Australian Standards and Microsoft office is essential, with previous exposure to, Yokogawa DCS, Fuji VSD, Ellipse and AutoCAD being favourable.

You will have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and have 5+ years’ relevant experience, with RPEQ being highly regarded. Role requirements include team management, capital project management, budget estimation, engineering design and process. You will work in a multidisciplinary team to deliver successful projects and participate in the departments’ safety culture. You will be a proactive, self-motivated, result-driven individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure in a multi-disciplinary team. You will have the ability to think logically and work towards finding favourable solutions and outcomes, striving to lead a high performing team.
