About the Opportunity

Berrigan now has multiple opportunities for two proactive Infrastructure Design Engineers to join their Technical Services team on a full-time basis.

Reporting to the Assets and Operations Manager, you will primarily be responsible for producing engineering design plans, contract specifications and documentation for Councils' infrastructure projects.

Your day to day responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Developing concept and strategic plans, including investigating, surveying, designing and preparing technical drawings for engineering works;
  • Liaising with Assets and Operations Manager to ensure that assigned projects are carried out efficiently and effectively;
  • Managing capital works design programs in order to meet construction target periods within budget or acceptable limits;
  • Initiating and preparing applications for funding to government departments in addition to arranging quotations and purchase of materials for works; and
  • Liaising with ratepayers, contractors, public authorities and Council staff in relation to Technical Services and works delivery. 

About the Benefits

You will relish a 70 hour, 9 day fortnight, with flexibility in both your working hours and the timing of your fortnightly RDO. Your success will be further recognised with an annual performance related bonus.
