Lead the development of ILS Plans and Reports in accordance with ASDEFCON and project needs.
Develop and Maintain project processes, procedures and training to ensure successful management of all ILS activities.
Work collaboratively with Engineering and the CoA to plan, monitor and report ILS activities.
Identify and review the needs, analysis and justification for ILS tools to ensure they are suitable, appropriate and effective.
Guide ILS Engineers and ILS Analysis in their work and actively support their professional development.
Direct and Support ILS Working Groups and participate as an active member of other engineering IPTs.
Direct ILS activities and provide expertise to influence design through design program phases.
Prepare briefing material and present briefings to provide management, customers and vendors recommendations/suggestions that address ILS issues.
Develop key project and product requirements and their trace to the Functional Performance Specification.
Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (electronic, electrical, mechatronic or mechanical) or related discipline (from a recognised institution) and/or significant relevant Logistics Engineering experience within a professional ILS environment
Courses in ILS or Support Systems Engineering and/or Asset management
Knowledge of ILS and or Asset management Standards such as: MIL-HDBK-217, MIL-STD 1629, MIL-STD 1388 preferred
Experience in the development of ILS Plans & Reports
Experience in the development of Procedures and Processes
Experience in the development and reporting of metrics and KPIs
Experience in developing, maintaining and reporting of project schedules and budgets
Experience in the application of Reliability, Availability & Maintainability (RAM) and Failure Modes Effects and Criticality
Analysis (FMECA) to engineering projects
Experience in the application of Reliability Centres Maintenance, Level of Repair Analysis
Experience in the application of Life Cycle Cost (LCC) analysis & Spares Modelling
Experience with analysing needs and system requirements, and allocation to specifications
Experience in the conduct of Logistic Support Analysis, including Maintenance and Operator Task Analysis and LSA Reports
Special Requirements: Applicants are required to be Australian Citizens and hold a current or re-instatable NV1 Defence Security Clearance.
