About the role

We are now seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our growing Fluid Engineering team. The Mechanical Engineer will assist with the identification and qualification of Australia suppliers of mechanical hydraulic & pneumatic equipment and components for fluid systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist to deliver specifications and qualification criteria for mechanical equipment for fluid systems
  • Work with the procurement team to identify quality suppliers and establish relationships
  • Contribute in the update qualified equipment
  • Management of the qualification of the equipment for the Future Submarines Program
  • Support to the design team for all questions related to its technical field

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 2+ years’ experience working with Hydraulic & Air system equipment such as: solenoid valves, air cylinders, hydraulic accumulators etc.
  • Knowledge of Australian standards & suppliers (desirable)
  • Oil & Gas experience (desirable)

Eligibility

The successful applicant must be an Australian Citizen
