The opportunity

Seeking graduates who have a passion for RF & microwave communications and who want to be part of a team shaping the future of world-class defence projects. Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) is growing and as a result are looking for a number of graduate RF & communications systems engineers. This role is suited to recent graduates and those looking to graduate this year.

You will be part of a team contributing to various projects across a range of Boeing Defence Australia programs including the development of upgrades and enhancements to the Wedgetail AEW&C Mission System.

As a graduate engineer on the BDA graduate program you will have:

As a Boeing engineer you will have the opportunity to engage in a broad range of engineering activities including:

  • Requirements analysis and specification, functional analysis, design, procurement, development, integration and test of hardware and software.
  • Integration of sensors, hardware and communications systems into both the laboratory environment and the platform.
  • Conducting activities in accordance with project plans, and established practices and standards, while continually seeking out opportunities for process improvement.
  • Provide support and troubleshooting during the installation and check out of communications systems and hardware.
  • Work under the guidance of experienced engineers.

The following criteria are essential:

  • Bachelor degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering, or Communications Systems Engineering or similar.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills.
  • A desire to learn.
  • An interest in radios / RF / microwave.
  • Able to solve problems.
