Your responsibilities will include:
As part of the F-35 program, we currently have a new role available as Field Engineer - Pilot Fit Facility Technician located in Williamtown within the RAAF Base. The primary responsibility for this role will be to support day-to-day Pilot Fit Facility (PFF) Below the Neck (BTN) measurement of aircrew and the build/test of F-35A flight equipment in support of the RAAF pilot training throughput. Working with the PFF Lead, ITC scheduler and customer personnel, day to day responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee the coordination and conduct of RAAF F-35 pilot Day 1 and Day 2 BTN flight equipment fittings.
  • Undertake responsibility for inventory management of BTN assets; provide support for the control, schedule, and tracking customer (pilot) throughput, and perform removal and installation of Pilot Flight Equipment (PFE) components on the pilot profiles using the Autonomic Logistic Information System (ALIS).
  • Ensure that PFF access is controlled, and processes are followed.
  • Make sure PFF operations are conducted using the prescribed procedures for the storage and security of all assigned support equipment, PFF equipment, material, and F-35 PFE asset inventory.
